London Maternity Photography with Samantha

Who is maternity photography for?

My Maternity Photography Session is for Mamas to be of all ages!

I’ll capture and explore your version of Motherhood’s raw and intimate beauty.

I want you to appreciate, accept and realise all you are as a woman and a mother.

What if I’m a little nervous or uncomfortable about how I look?

This isn’t about perfection or even imperfection. It’s about honesty and acceptance.

Ultimately, perfection and imperfection are subjective and somewhat constraining constructs that imply a lack of completeness or the very opposite. I don’t think like that, so I create my best work from a place of honesty, acceptance and wonder.

For me, it’s about creating a version of yourself, a vision or art that is pretty unapologetically you and one in which you have and find acceptance.

This session isn’t just about the visual and connecting with your inner self and physical body. I’ll help you feel comfortable in your skin and to love every curve, lump and bump of your beautiful body. To show your vulnerability, as well as your brave.

Honestly, I’m pretty awkward in front of the camera. Being this way helps me understand so much about making a person feel comfortable. So come as you are, and I’ll meet you there.

I’ll meet you wherever you are

By this, I mean mentally and emotionally. I’ll tune in to you, and what you want. If you’re camera shy, that’s actually perfect for me because so am I. So I get it. And if you’re not, well then I know exactly how to get the best out of you. Either way, I’m there 100%

Let us brave the elements together (I do indoor maternity photoshoots, too!) and connect with your inner voice and our inner wild.

Let’s play and have fun with it; I hope you’ll love it.

When is the best time for Maternity Photos?

I’d say around 28-36 weeks is a good time. For some, 28 weeks will be too early (the bump may need a little more time). Your third trimester is when your baby’s fat deposits grow and develop. The most rapid weight gain usually happens at around week 35. Hence the reason why I think 36 weeks is a good cut off.

Many Mamas (not all), can start to feel tired and fatigued in those last few weeks.

I'm Samantha, a London-based Portrait Photographer, Content Marketer, and Educator. I've been capturing the essence of adults, children, and babies since 2012.

I aim to help individuals, families, and brands forge meaningful connections with themselves and their audiences.

I'm a soulful creative and a purposeful storyteller. My art is an extension of who I am, rooted in values of connection and creativity.

And yes, I'm always up for a bit of worldwide adventuring with my work.
