Natural Light Newborn and Maternity Photographer in North London
Some of my favourite sessions happen so close to home.
A Victorian terrace in Haringey, mid-renovation and full of light
Fiona’s maternity shoot was in her Victorian terrace in Haringey, mid-renovation, rooms being reclaimed one by one. The room we worked in was half-done, plaster on the walls, raw and open. And honestly, it was more beautiful for it. There was something in that unfinished space that felt true to where she was, on the edge of something new, her life about to change completely.
She wore knitwear, fabric, texture. Then we went outside, and she wore something close to what she’d reach for on any given day, just herself, but with the light doing something wonderful. Because she’s a creative, she came with openness, and that changed everything. We stopped performing and started just being together, and that’s when the real photographs happened.
A quiet flat in Archway, just her and her son
Kristina’s session was in Archway, a converted flat, one bedroom, compact. Space was never going to be the thing. What we had was a beautiful window and a woman who wanted to remember this. Just her and her son. Skin to skin, breastfeeding, the quiet weight of early motherhood held without apology. She was open to all of it, and because of that we made photographs that feel like the truth of that time.
This is what I do across North London: Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Highgate, Haringey, Archway, Islington and beyond. I come to you, I work in natural light, and I follow whatever the day gives us.
