East London Newborn Photography – Honest, Artful, Unfiltered
Where culture meets connection
There’s something about East London — the colour, the energy, the quiet thoughtfulness behind the creativity. It shows up in the people, in the homes, in the way families here carry their stories. Photographing newborns in East London feels less like a photoshoot and more like being invited into something real.
An approach that doesn’t ask you to perform
I’m a newborn photographer working across East London — from Hackney, Stoke Newington, and Dalston, to Walthamstow, Leyton, Forest Gate, and Bethnal Green. The families I meet here tend to want something honest. Not heavily styled, not stiff or overly curated — just something with soul.
If that’s you, you’re in good company.
If you’d like to get a feel for who I am beyond the camera, you’re welcome to read a letter from me or my post 20 things you probably don’t know about me. A lot of people have said it helped them feel like they were in the right place — even before they got in touch.
People find me in all sorts of ways — a friend’s recommendation, an AI tool, a quiet scroll one night while feeding. However you ended up here, if it feels like the right place, I’m glad.
From warehouses to walk-ups — it all matters
East London homes are as varied as the families who live in them. I’ve photographed in converted lofts and council flats, artist studios and Victorian terraces — and what I’ve learned is that connection shows up everywhere.
You don’t need a big space or a Pinterest-perfect flat. You just need to be in it. With your baby. With the realness of this moment. That’s all it takes.
What I bring to the room
I come with experience, sensitivity, and calm. I’ve spent years learning how to work with light, rhythm, and body language — but even more time learning how to really see people.
If you’re someone who values emotional honesty, quiet observation, or just not having to pretend — my work might feel like a fit. I don’t direct you like a stylist. I guide like a collaborator. This is documentary photography, yes — but it’s also art, and care, and trust.
I grew up around East London, in and out of cultures that taught me how to listen deeply. That’s part of what I bring into the work — a way of being that notices what might otherwise be missed.
If this speaks to you, you’re welcome to reach out
You don’t have to know what you’re looking for yet. You don’t even need to be ready. If something in this feels right, take it as a quiet nudge.
If you’re thinking about it but not quite sure, you’re always welcome to get in touch for a chat — no pressure, just human connection.
