North London Newborn Photography – Honest, Emotional, Yours

The beauty in the blur

The early days with a new baby are full of contrast — quiet but intense, soft but messy, ordinary and completely life-changing. That’s the space I step into when I photograph a family: not the part you’ve prepped or perfected, but the real part. The stuff that matters later.

This work is personal

I’m a newborn photographer based in North London, and the families I work with tend to want something more than a set of cute baby photos. They want to remember how it felt. Not perfectly styled, not overly posed — just thoughtfully done. Natural, deeply personal, and full of warmth.

Parents often tell me my images feel different because of the way I work with light and emotion together. For me, it isn’t about the trend or the edit — it’s about noticing and translating feeling into something you can hold onto.

If you’d like to go deeper, you’re welcome to read [a letter from me] or my post 20 things you probably don’t know about me. I only mention it because so many people say that’s what made them feel ready to reach out — like they already knew the kind of space I’d hold for them.

People arrive here in all sorts of ways — sometimes through a recommendation, sometimes without quite knowing what they searched for. However you landed here, if it feels like the right place, I’m glad you’re here.

The places I work, the people I see

I work with families in Highgate, Muswell Hill, Crouch End, Hampstead, Enfield, Barnet, St Albans, Hemel Hempstead, Hertford, and across North London. Whether you’re in a bright Victorian home in Hampstead, a cosy flat in Wood Green, or somewhere just beyond the city, I’m happy to travel to you.

What matters most is that you feel comfortable — because the truth always shows when you do. And that’s when the images become more than photos — they become your family’s story.

A session that feels like you

Every session is different. I show up with experience and gentle direction, but never a script. You don’t need to feel ready or look a certain way — you just need to show up. I’ll meet you where you are.

Over the years I’ve refined my technical craft — light, composition, timing — but what families remember most is the atmosphere. How I create space, how I guide without taking over, how I notice the quiet things that matter most. That’s what makes an image linger.

If it’s been on your mind, this is your nudge

If you’ve been thinking about booking for a while, take this as a quiet nudge. You don’t need to know exactly what you want. Most people don’t. We can figure it out together.
