Baby number 3 for Mum and Dad and a much-loved family for me. I have seen them for each of their babies; it has been both humbling and exhilarating in many ways.

I cannot begin to explain the difficulties baby, Mum and Dad have been through with this little guy. When you have had two healthy babies and two fairly straightforward deliveries already, it is understandable how you may not be mentally prepared for things to go any other way than the way they did before. Thankfully, he is here and very presently perfect. I send this family love and strength always.

Sometimes as parents, aunties, uncles and grandparents, we are reminded through various experiences in our lives of how lucky we are to be allowed to care for, guide, protect and ultimately love another human being.

I am always genuinely thankful for my babies, and I send my love to this family and everyone who knows precisely what I mean.
