Newborn Photography

When it comes to finding the light in many of my families' homes, I have become so used to finding and using it to my absolute advantage.

I love the look and feel of natural light and I love the challenge of making it work in different settings each time. But most of all, I love that I’m working in someone’s home.

Yes it’s personal. Yes it’s their space, and yes it can be challenging at times, but I love it and it just feels right to me.

For some clients it also means they can incorporate a natural home look or feel to their session, or it may be that they just prefer be in the comfort of their own home.

Sometimes when it comes to children, families and babies there is no set plan, or if there is one, a plan has to change. I have become very used to adapting to what works in terms of the lighting, baby, family etc. And I absolutely love when out of that something truly special. I look for sheer value and meaning in an image. An image like this, for both the parents and children, will be of absolute value. I don’t think it is even possible to quantify how much.

This image really sums up the relationship I saw in the tiny glimpse I had of this brother and sister. Most of what I saw was from sister to brother, since Neo, was just a couple of weeks old. But I believe, wholeheartedly, that she will be someone who Neo truly looks up to. She is kindness, compassion, light, soul and love all wrapped up into one.
