How this North London Baby Photographer captures the detail.
Ever wondered about the close ups in baby photography? I'd love to share how this North London Baby Photographer captures the detail.

I don't have a standardised approach
No surprises there then? Look I'm a pretty organised person but the way I shoot comes largely from a purely creative place. This is always how I get the best results - by just being in the moment, reading what I see and going for it.
My main focus is to highlight your baby's features, skin, details. Whatever it may be that I see. I don't really think too much about it though because whenever I look at a baby I just know what I need to get, for that baby. Yes, I do have a few standard shots but they are never the same.

I don't light every shot the same
I love that aspect of what I do. And that's partly down to the fact that I don't shoot in a studio. My lighting conditions are always changing in peoples homes and I love that. It creates so my interest and challenges me too. I just love natural light on babies so I really wouldn't want it any other way.
I do love shadow and light so I'll work it the best way I know how to!
Those of you who have been following my work for some time will know that I love shadow as much as I love light. I would actually go as far to say that I search for the shadows as much as I search for natural light. And it's in these detailed shots, close ups where I love them the most.
Baby lashes, and I can only wish mine looked like this.
