I’m Samantha, thank you for taking the time to look at my work. I’m a North London based Photographer covering London, Hertfordshire and Essex..
Authenticity lies at the heart of what I do.
I photograph with the sole purpose of either creating beautiful fine art portraits through genuine and emotive story telling.
This is one of the most important things I try to do.
I’ll take my time to help alleviate any concerns and apprehension you may have by getting to know you and your family a little because I want you to feel at ease.
Whether it’s working around nap times, working with high energy excitable children, or a shy or embarrassed child or adult. We are all human and we come with so many dimensions and emotions.
I cannot tell you how fulfilling it is to know that my role as a story teller and photographer is so much more than taking photographs. I get to see inside peoples lives, I have seen joy, sadness, hope and fears. It’s what makes us human and it give me so much pleasure to be the one to record your story and your moments for you in a way that represents you best.
So I have my way of just making it work, for you. The truth is, I am no magician, but what I will do is get to know you, find out what you would like, work with you to tell your story and thus create a beautiful set of images that you will love.
I want to create beautiful portraits that you’ll want to hang in your home, that will be loved by your children, and theirs too.
It’s really simple. It’s my art, and I want to share it with you – forever.
I’m always thankful when a parent chooses me to photograph their newborn, baby or child. It’s rewarding to be that pause button for every parent that chooses me.
Put simply, this is my craft. I love it. So I’ll always give you the best of me.
My work has been featured in publications both nationally and internationally.
I have won awards in both classical fine art children’s portraiture and newborn portraiture, have been commissioned by businesses and brands to undertake projects for their campaigns and have been featured in various online and print media. Previous clients include Lyle and Scott and The Urban Flower Farmer.
I am pleased and honoured to be a member of 3 highly respected and leading associations in the industry; The Baby and Newborn Photographers Association, The Masters Photographers Association and The Society of Wedding and Portrait Photographers. I qualified for my Licentiate with The Masters Photographers Association in 2015. It is recognised as a benchmark of excellence across the world.
I have completed a DBS check (previously CRB), and I am fully insured. Safety is paramount therefore I practice and advocate safe newborn posing techniques at all times.
I previously worked in Fashion for many years in the Buying and Merchandising team as a Merchandiser – seems strange now but it was a highly analytical role would you believe, but here I am now thankfully following my heart, and soul ,which, I am truly grateful for.
And if you would like to know more about me…
I’m mum to two beautiful children.
I love simplicity, beautiful places and people that make me smile.
Mindfulness, Meditation and Yoga are practices that I love.
I am constantly growing and investing in my craft.
I truly believe in my heart that it would be remiss of me not to give anyone I work with the best that I can in terms of me and the quality of products I offer.
Let’s be honest, I’m not the kind of photographer that wants to shoot everything and anything, but there is something that truly resonates with me when I get to create beautiful naturally lit emotive portraits and visit amazing locations. It is loving what I do the way I do that drives me to grow, learn, perfect and refine my craft.
